He needs to consult a doctor. Perhaps he could get on some medication to help him recover from his job. If he doesn't seek professional help, there's no hope for the relationship. She needs to face the fact that she may lose the house and her husband. It's a sad situation with no solution on her part. It's up to him to want to get help. Maybe he needs some counseling? My friends dad kind of did some of those things one time, but he also had spent all their savings and didn't realize he was doing that and found out he was bipolar just right before his bipolar actions landed him in jail.
