I always do, but I don’t care much for receiving gifts anymore. I just go out and get what I want anyways. I wish I got more gift cards.

Well … I’m 37, so these days I really appreciate the sensible presents :o ) Though the occasional toy is fun.

You should count yourself lucky. When I was a teenager my Mom worked all the time so my step-dad did all the Christmas shopping. He would buy things and just put names on them with no regard to who it’s going to. One year I got a set of golf clubs …. I don’t golf, but conveniently my Mom did. So I got nothing that Christmas. Even now … he doesn’t understand that “petite” clothes are for small people. All the women in my family are super short except me, I’m 5′7″. Yet he always gets me petite clothes. So I open up the package, pull it out, and when it doesn’t fit he just has me throw it over to someone else. It’s pretty funny now, but it wasn’t funny when I was a kid!

she does that so that u wont have to ‘waste’ ur money on these boring stuff. its really heart breaking to learn that ul have to spend ur pocket money on a sweater because u need one.

if think u dont want/need these ask her if u can get wat u want.

I am to in my 30’s and I appreciate the idea that someone would take the time to spend the time or money on me. I have kids of my own and yes I buy them practical items such as clothes, shoes, undies, and socks but somewhere in there I throw in a toy and some candy..I hope your Christmas is happier for you this year. Honestly, we only do it because we know you will need it though you can not see that part of it..

I think some of you need to grow up and realize what Christmas really is.

I usually don’t like the things that my mom and dad give me, but I luuurrrve the things that my other relatives give me. One year I got $100 dollars inside an ordiment with a opening. Another year everyone seemed to want to give me Best Buy gift cards. They piled up so much that I got an I-pod (with the help of past years Best Buy cards. REALLY WHAT IS UP WITH BEST BUY GIFT CARDS) and was also able to get a $15 I-tunes gift card.(for myself of course
