Are You Ready for Some Football?

Posted by greenFlag

Football is the great American pastime and while I enjoy watching football, I love going to see football games live. The energy of the crowd and the excitement of the arena aren’t real until you are sitting on the bleachers watching your favorite team, listening to the roar of the crowd. While my husband favors watching football from the comfort of our living room couch, I like to take in the whole experience. Traveling to Foxborough, Massachusetts, I wait for my favorite team, the New England Patriots, to kick off as I tailgate with my husband and our friends.

I’ve always been a fan of the New England Patriots but now that Tom Brady is the quarterback, I am even more interested in following the team. While my crush on Tom solidified my love of the Patriots, I also enjoy the time with my family and friends as we cheer the New England Patriots on to victory. We’ve made a family tradition of traveling to Foxborough the night before a big game, spending the night in a local hotel, waking up early to catch a big breakfast and get to Gillette Stadium early to set up our tailgating spot. We barbeque hotdogs and chat with friends. The kids run around with their friends and the men start playing a game of touch football. Just thinking about the fun we have makes me ready for some football right now.

Oh, how much I envy you! Here I am stuck in Arizona with a team lacking much tradition or fan support. Even with their trip to the Superbowl this year the idea of being a lifelong, diehard Cardinals fan just doesn’t fit into my vocabulary.

It sounds like you are a true exception to the rule when it comes to women and football. Someone who actually enjoys the game, that is a real plus. I can only hope to that my bride to be learns to tolerate it enough to go to a game with me.

The Patriots are great! And Tom Brady will do nothing but help. It is just too bad we have such a long wait until we can see them back in action. I live in the southwest but really enjoy seeing them when they come here to play. Here’s to a great 2010 season!

Be glad that you don’t have a large backyard. Once your brother getis it running he will need to test it out somewhere and there would be nothing more exciting than several laps around your pool. I think you are in for an adventure!

The Pats missing the playoffs last year at 10-6 was a travesty! No matter, with Tommy back behind center we’re on our way to another Super Bowl. You may as well book your hotel early - we Patriots fans know how fast they fill up!

Who cares about the Patriots. The Washington Redskins will be on fire this year and will definitely make the playoffs. I foresee them being a strong force in the NFC and maybe even making the Super Bowl.
