    u know wat…..i had the same prob until a few weeks back………i was desperate to find my childhood frnd…….itz been more than 10 yrs since ive met him………but tell u wat………soon like a miracle……….i got an invitation to his elder sisters marriage……n so thru that i could contact him……kwel rite??
    so dont worry……….u’ll find him/.her soon……….keep the faith…….

    I’m not sure about the UK but here in Australia the Salvation Army have a dept that searches for lost friends and family. It may be worth a try.
